Smart Buildings: How smart solutions are introduced into old buildings and what savings it makes.

It's easier for buildings, like people, to be born smart.

Just as a person inherits the level of intelligence, so the level of technology in a building directly depends on its creators. The ideal variant of a smart building at the moment is the smart-Technology, which was originally built into the project. The design should provide all the necessary nuances for equipment, infrastructure should provide the necessary capacity. It is also possible and necessary to use smart solutions in already existing buildings. But there is a risk of facing different challenges. First of all, it is necessary to determine whether the building is in principle ready for modernization. Unfortunately, today's buildings are sometimes outdated and are subject to demolition rather than modernization. Diverse protocols used by the equipment in the building can seriously hinder the introduction of new technologies. Outdated equipment can also be a hindrance.

The implementation of smart solutions at each site goes through design and implementation stages. Different building operation scenarios are defined in the design. These scenarios are then implemented in hardware - in the form of sensors, devices and specialized software that includes monitoring and response systems.

Scenarios can be either automatic, working without human intervention, or reactive to actions. For example, the scripts can automatically turn off the lighting in the office along the windows during the day and turn it on when the light level drops, or control the heat curtain at the entrance depending on the outside and inside temperatures, providing comfort for visitors during the day and preventing dew at night. More complex automatic scenarios include integration with internal services, such as preparing an advisory panel for negotiations by synchronizing with the corporate calendar - the system will include air conditioning and ventilation to create a comfortable temperature, as well as lighting and the necessary equipment.

Smart technologies allow you to interact with the external infrastructure from the apartment, and vice versa - to send commands to the internal devices from outside. For example, in hot weather, you can remotely turn on the air conditioning by approaching the house to create a comfortable temperature.
